Influence of Mineral Nutrition on Growth and Active Components of Garlic

Abstract

|
Investigation of the relationship between the mineral nutrition of garlic and their amino acid and alliin contents is reported in this study. The plants were frown in a greenhouse in sand culture at 10 different composition of mineral ions medium and their amino acid and alliin contents determined by automatic amino arid analyzer, P.P.C. and colorimetry. The garlic plants ih-NP 8 group contained highest amounts both amino acid and alliin.
These yields determined through the experiment have furnished further study for the establishment of optimum ionic proportional conditions in order to produce maximum yields by Systematic Variations Method.
